Working on finishing our basement. I need to get baseboard, crown moulding and casement/trim for the doors.
My mainstay lumber yard who had the trim to match my old house went out of business this winter, so won’t be using that. Which is OK as I was hoping to not use wood down in the basement anyways.
I’d like to use the newer ‘foam’ based trim material (urethane?).
Home Depot caries a small selection. It’s the stuff that’s prefinished white. I’m thinking it’d a) be better in the higher moisture area of the basement b) could be hung with adhesive. I’m using metal studs and would rather not block out all the floor and ceilings with wood for nailing. c) if hung with adhesive, I wouldn’t have any touch-up painting to do.
The catch is the selection at Home Depot tends to run ornate and narrow. I’d like some heftier widths (6″ baseboard, 4″ door trim) in, ideally, a more arts-and-crafts/simpler profile to better fit in with the rest of the house.
Anyone in the Twin Cities region know of a retailer/lumber yard that caries a larger selection of the product and/or an online source?

looks like it's unanimous. Outwater it is! Thanks for the link!
Hmm...looks like they have a nice selection, but still seems a bit on the ornate side...lots of rope trim and large crown.
Well, Azek routs like a dream, you could always make your own or sub it out to a wood worker/ trim carpenter. Azek is a PVC trim for exterior use mostly, but CAN be used indoors just as well.Spheramid Enterprises Architectural Woodworks

A year or so ago the Menards in Maplewood did have a fair selection. Check with Lamperts (there's one in Lake Elmo)too, I'd doubt it's a stock item but they could certainly order it if it's available. "My mainstay lumber yard who had the trim to match my old house went out of business this winter" ........... would that be WB Martin? An old neighbor sent us a clipping saying they were closing.
Doesn't look like Menards carries the foam-stuff...just the solid vinyl. That said, I haven't checked the selection at the big one over off of 694 yet, so maybe they have it there.Yep...it was WB that went out of business. They were just 10 blocks away or so, always had the millwork I needed and always cut it down to size for me (by the very nice guy that worked in the shop that only had a total of maybe 4 and a half fingers altogether. ;o)
Try this: http://www.fypon.com/Scherer Brothers has it and Azek. I believe Fypon is cheaper. Good luck.
