Hi. probably stupid question but I put cottage siding on my house a couple years ago. now on the areas where the siding is thinner there appear to be moisture spots that make the paint look like its not dry. should I have caulked the end boards or something. all I can assume is that moisture is getting trapped under the siding.

OK, I give up. What's "cottage siding"?
Also, I wonder if your "cottage siding" should have been backprimed?
*Steve: I assume you installed what I term "novelty" siding, pine clapboard-type siding w/ a profile at the top for a shiplap joint(thinner section). Coating all 6 sides of a board is advisable.I've had the experience of unstoppable knot bleed from this type of siding, though, regardless of coating system;perhaps this is the "moisture".Best-LRZ.
