I’m going to be using what I will call a crossed beamed ceiling in a dining room( I won’t call it coffered or trayed as other threads can’t agree on what they are). Any way this ceiling is 11′ high for other reasons.
I am planning decorative droped beams about 5-6′ oc each direction & 1/2 that around the edges. I’m wondering what beam depth & molding combinations look nice for these? The house is mildly Prairie in chairacter. Probably using mid-brown finish eg hickory or pecan.
