I want to install a motion detector switch on my bathroom light, but I want one with a dimmer. Is such a thing available?

only seen it done as a two seperate switch configuration...
motion switch before the dimmer...

Hmm, stack the boxes, I'm thinking, but with a space to separate them (the better to not need a custom face plate).
So, MD switch 6" over the dimmer, which would be in the existing box--that work?Occupational hazard of my occupation not being around (sorry Bubba)
put the motion detector 2-3' up the wall or totally remote it to another wall of the room...
we know the short comings of motion detectors.. keep one hand free to be able to wave all the time..

Particularly while showering . . .
Hmm, Bill's ceiling mount might be interesting, though . . .
However, I'm thinking a wireless X10 MD and an X10 wall dimmer might almost be easier (the X10 MD has an adjustable sensititivity and sustain "on" IIRC).Occupational hazard of my occupation not being around (sorry Bubba)
You could put it in a 2 gang box. And use double Decor coverplate. Here is a compnay that has lots of interesting motion sensors.Including ceiling mounts.http://www.sensorswitch.com/http://www.efi.org has one of the basic "swtich replacment" versions for about $30.I did not see any with dimmers, but they make ones to work with 0-10v dimming ballast system. But the WDS-NL looks like an interesting unit for this appliactions.http://www.sensorswitch.com/wallswitches.htmIf you look under sales and then reps they have a list of distributors.

Yeah, except I was just thinking of how little room on the wall is usually available in most bathrooms. That, and the efforts I've gone through (hoops jumper through) to get cover plates that match the dimmer that also match the rest of the cover plates . . .
Just nothing quite like needing the "normal" square switch next to a not-quite-standard "big" rectangle dimmer ...
The pieces-parts Decor SP are nice, and I like using them, when I've been able to, that is.
Such is life.
Liked the links, though.Occupational hazard of my occupation not being around (sorry Bubba)
