Movement in Floating Laminate Floor
I am laying a floating Pergo laminated floor over a 6 mil vapor barrier over a dry, flat, stable, and insulated concrete floor. The floor needs to butt up against a tile hearth for a woodstove. Rather than leaving a wide space to add a trim piece to cover the edge of the laminate, I want to simply butt the floor to the tile (which is the same height), leaving a quarter inch gap, and fill the gap with silicone tile grout. Will this work?
Will the laminate floor move, both laterally or vertically?

Do you want to chance it? If it does move, you will have a buckeling floor. When all else fails follow the directions>G<
