Check under intermodal cartage on google. Here is a company with a terminal in Raleigh that may offer the service you need.

You pack the container in your driveway and they come a few days later and move it...then they leave it and you unpack it.
They'd probably move any container you need moved.
It's who I'm gonna use when I move. http://www1.epinions.com/prices/hmgd-Moving_Services-All-ABF_U_Pack_Moving_Moving_Service
Why do I insist on doing everything myself? ugh
That's pertty
That's pertty interesting...
I also have a 40' container in the Raleigh NC area that I need moved... I rented it from Mobile Mini though, so I'll just have them move it. Porblem is that the container must be empty for them to move it... If yours is empty you might want to give them a call just to check. (866) 344-4092 It's a big company though... Sometimes big companies are pretty funny about "working with you"
Any tow company with a slide bed truck. I've paid about $250.00 in the past.
For a 40 foot long container??
You can try three movers. I'm not in that area, but it looks like they are https://threemovers.com/north-carolina/ Had them move a container for me in the midwest and had no issues. Were affordable compared to others I looked at (at the time anyway). Hope this helps.
Nevermind didn't realize this was such an old post.
