My HVAC contractor is a Winner
Guy Cox and Chris Kannenberg are the HVAC contractors for my house, and they just won a major industry award for the work they did designing and installing my system! Contracting Business magazine–a leading magazine for HVAC contractors and company owners–just published the issue with the winners of the 2003 Quality Home Comfort Award, and their work and my house won the award in the 4000 sf to 6000 sf category, beating out companies more than 25 times their size.
“Contracting Business Magazine created the Quality Home Comfort Award program to honor the best in residential comfort system design and application. These prestigious awards stress the importance and value of the HVAC system as a key component of a well-built home, and in doing so, set the standards of residential HVAC excellence.”
When the pdf of the article is on their web site, I’ll post a link. But mostly I wanted to acknowledge the two great guys who worked on my house and now have some national recognition of their skills!

Congrats to them...
...and kudos to you for choosing them to work on your house.
congrads,
How were their prices compared to other estimates you got?
Just curious where they came in.

In his first interview since the stroke, Ram Dass, 66, spoke with great difficulty about how his brush with death has changed his ideas about aging, and how the recent loss of two old friends, Timothy Leary and Allen Ginsberg, has convinced him that now, more than ever, is the time to ``Be Here Now.''

Estimates?
Ha ha ha!
Actually, I did most of this house time and materials. They came with great referrals, so I trusted them to be fair, and they trusted me to pay. Worked for us, though that doesn't mean I recommend it for others...
I hate when plumbers keep telling me they aren't sure how long a job will take and wanna charge me T&M. Wish I could do that to customers (not really). Spose' in some ways I'd hate it more if they couldnt figure the job accuratly and just over priced it.
I dont mind paying per day cause I can just let someone go after one day if I see they spend all day on the cell or outside smoking cigs.
Its great to have good refrences!
Good going dude.
