My opinon! But you know what they say
Circ Saw – Nothing beats the 15 amp magnesium Makita runs like a Ferrari, smooth well balanced, Power, Accurate, not made of all plastic parts I try to sell everyone on it
Table Saw – This one is close and I can see why people have there own picks But that rack and Pinion fence on the dewalt is the best thing since 1/2″ paint
Recipro – PortaCable or Mill-ie-walk-ay neither can be complained about some of my co-workers need a spot in their belt for a sawzall nyuk nyuk
Framing Gun -Hitachi NR83 not the NR83A with the guard on the spot where I pull the nose back and fire a nail half way into some thing without the piston head splitting the lumber or to hang the gun
Finish Gun – Hitachi is what I use haven’t tried anything else sooo….uh what do you think
Levels – Stabila
Miter saw – Again I’m going to saw you can’t beat the Makita slide miter dual bevel, extremely well designed/made. I like the dewalts, just not as much. Those hitachis are for alien house building.
If you put joist hangers or any kind of of metal connectors on you are insane not to have this Bostitch MCN-150 StrapShot Metal Connector Nailer
Roofing gun – I love my little portacable don’t roof too often though…
Brad Gun – I think they all work don’t they I have a PortaCable
Cordless Drill – Makita 18v Lithium ion, obviously the dewalts are excellent too, but
I’m a bit makita biased
What I’m in the market for is a new router I need some help with this one I’ve heard portacables are nice and already you can assume that I’m looking at Makita. Ideas? Thanks.
What do you think?
Also anyone know where to buy those four bladed lally column cutters?

You can't go wrong with a Bosch router,
Porter-Cable is a close second.
i have a dewalt router. and the bosch colt. porter cable makes really good tools...
i dont think you can go wrong with any of them. best deal though is probably the dewalt. 3 different handles plus edge guide.
have a porter cable mag circular. love it. makita mag circ has interested me till I saw one with a broken handle at home depot (it can be replaced... which is a good thing).
I have PC routers, they are ok, but about 20 years old. I just bought a used Bosch router table (price was too good to let go) and just tonight ordered a Bosch 3.25hp plunge router to go under it.
I have the smaller Bosch plunge router that is great.
Good luck.

Roofing gun - I love my little portacable don't roof too often though...
I like the feel of the Porter Cables, but mine go to the repair shop more often than the Bostiches.
