Well, it was an interesting project! Here’s a few pics.. I used Diamond cabinets in toasted almond, dark green granite for counter and windowsill. I tore out the soffit over the new bumped out window(anderson casement), and used the existing soffit over the cabinets to build a 3 piece trim. Built the range hood using special order trim from HD. The floor is an alloc laminate with a nice beveled edge, called scandinavian pine. The cabinet hardware came from pottery barn, and the appliances are Jenn-air prostyle. (Yes, that is a downdraft range, but I got a deal, and I actually like it!) Didn’t like the cabinets “open” over the fridge area, so buit in some trim and crown, and made some side cabinets to soften the look. The backsplash is a mosaic subway style tile. Hope you like it! Oh yeah, the cabinet base trim is actually upside down window casing, the sink base trim is ripped down stair stock, and the cabinet “feet” came from an the old TV cabinet that I built a new base for.

A few more...
Very nice! Sort of a "country" look. I like it. Never saw a picture over a stove before! Neat! Everything goes well together.
I have been working on a kitchen/living room for a customer and it is turning out fairly well, but they are trying to jam too many things in one place and it's not as integrated as yours. These people have nearly black granite countertops, sort of off white mottled tile backplashes (with windows in the backsplashes), natural cherry cabinets, slate tile floors (the tile is 20" squares and looks like marble--dark browns and greens mostly, but also light golden brown with light green and some redicsh tones and gray groute), dark cherry on the island and stainless steel appliances and cabinet hardware. Living room has a tan-colored brick fireplace. Just too much variety as far as I'm concerned, but no one asked my opinion. (I'm helping a contractor who is the lead on the project.)
Beautiful! Nice job.
