Just looking for some feedback here; What nailgun/nail combo are you guys using to run your overhangs(soffit-fascia-trim). Im looking for something that will hold well and minimize caulking, since we do frame to finish. I’ve tried a couple differerent setups just wondering what worked best for you guys that do it everyday. We do mostly remodeling so its not everyday that we do this. Most of the fascia-soffit we run is wood/plywood. Thanks

A Max coil gun sized for trim nails works for us.
What model would you suggest and when you say trim nails, is there an exterier trim nail with a head on it that this gun will shoot. Thanks
I am talking about a siding gun, and nails for one are typically small-headed, ringshanked, and hotdipped galv or SS.
These nails are not the tinyhead ones you see for 15 thru 18 gage trim guns.
Here is what Max says about its nailer, which will shoot 1.75 to 2.5 inch nails.
"The Max CN565S is the nailer you need for fastening timber to steel plates or steel up to 2.3mm, siding, plywood, sheet metals, square or round corrugated iron(colour steel) Facia drain boards, lath sheets, ply bracing, fastening wooden backing, various roofing applications, external wall, under-the-floor & eaves, brackets etc. It will drives AC wire collated & FAP plastic collated bright, galvanised & stainless 15 degree coil nails. 32mm to 64mm. Stinger, Thanks, sounds like this might be what I'm looking for. I'll check it out. This is why I come to this board. Thanks again for your time.
I found some Hitachi-brand ring shank galvanized 8d nails at Lowes that fit my Rigid framing nailer. I think I bought 2". The heads are not too large, and if you control the depth setting properly they can be set flush.

Thats what I'm using now, and your right, if you set your gun up right there not to bad. I was just wondering what other people were using and the results they were getting. Thanks
You are welcome. Don't skimp and get some other brand. Others like Hitachi, Bostitch, etc., make these coilguns, but the Max is the best.
I'll second that for the MAX.
Best out there.
