I am a home builder. I am now putting radiant heat tube stapled below a 3/4″Advantech sub floor. My intention is to nail a 3/4″ solid wood strip floor to the sub floor. I understand it is best to have the heat in place before I install the flooring however I am concerned about puncturing the tubing. I am interested to know if there is a particular type of fastener, i.. staple or barbed nail that wood best serve my application. I am experienced and well aware of wood flooring installation practices, over radiant heat I am not. I have also heard of a nail or staple that heat when fired and glues itself.
