Need help and to vent/rant a little
Need two 8′ pieces of this beaded casing in ash preferably or white oak if need be.
Thought I had ordered it 2 weeks ago, went on vacation, came back, checked on Monday (10 days later), get the “You want what?”.
Ordered it this Monday. Be Tuesday if we have it in stock, otherwise 2-3 days if we need to run it. Check back late this afternoon (should have checked on Wednesday). get “we have to order the white oak, we’re out”. it’ll be 7-10 days.
EXCUSE ME?!
I ask if I can go buy the wood at my hardwood vendor and run it up to their shop and have them mill it?
“Nope, we don’t use other peoples wood” guess they grow their own.
CANCEL THE ORDER.
I also refrain from throwing the phone across the shop.
Here is the profile
I need it to match the existing detailing in a client’s kitchen. Had a heck of a time finding these yahoos.
Was hoping to do the install this Monday morning.
Guess that ain’t happening.
Any ideas? North Texas area or online.
Thanks for listening and for any help.

What drivel.
I don't even run a real millwork business and I keep 2-300 b.f. of white oak on hand. If I need more I can get in 2-3 days, delivered to my shop.
I reserved a boom lift for this Monday... because it would not be returned until then. They called a week early and said the lift is in do you want it... I said, "No, I scheduled my work around when you told me i could get the lift." He says, "well the guy who brought it back early needs it back this Monday now" (which is when they told me I could get it).
Frustrated, I said, "He can have it when I finish using it." He said, "well I guess I can get another lift in from another rental center."
Perfect.
Vendors, don't you just love'em?TFB (Bill)

I beleive I have a knife that can cut that profile. If your jambed up, I may be able to help you. Let me know
Attached is a picture of a modified profile. We needed to cut the profile for end columns on a bar profile. I think I can make it for you. Just pay the shipping

Tool, I ran the spline becouse I had to deduct a few reeds from the original size. I was working on a portable bar. The scale went down in size. heres a pic of what I mean
