My sister needs to replace the firebox in her fireplace, as the current one is very broken up (even though it is only about 24 years old). Anyway, what type of trades person do I look for to get this done? The company that made the original firebox can’t be found any longer.

Firebox?
Is this a metal liner? If so, I would assume that one hires a welder. Out here in SoCal there are a number of "fireplace stores" where you could ask.
Most of the fireplaces I am familiar with use firebrick for a liner, over the structural brick or block. Masons lay the brick with little or no grout.
