Hello,
I was up in the attic this weekend in our 40-yr. ranch house and I noticed about a dozen rafters falling short of the ridge. The gaps were between 1 to 2 inches with the securing nail(s) clearly visible. Guess the wood was a little green when installed.
Anyways, any advice on the best way to fix this? One suggestion from a local resource was to just use those galvanized tie-clips, but I’m not sure that’s the best solution.
Any responses would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Kurt
