My Cabin addition is progressing nicely. Ill paint interior and stain woodwork and trim the windows before I lay hardwood. The cabin is 28 by 21 and has a U shaped kitchen. Im building the cabinets and should have them done this week.
When I lay the floor, I have to allow for the tile in the kitchen area. But the floor under the cabinets needs to be at the oak floor level. So, Should I lay out the cabinet footprint and lay hardwood up to that line? Or are their better ways to allow for the tile field in the floor?

Say what?
Is there a spot in this kitchen where there is a walkable transition from tile to wood?
If not, then the transition at the cabs can be hidden any old way you like....
Thanks guys...i just needed confirmation I was thinking right.
We usually just use scraps of 3/4" plywood to bring the cabs up to the right height in that situation.
