I just finished a 26×26 addition to a hunting camp in Upper Michigan. The room looks great, except for one small detail. We put in a fieldstone fireplace and chimney over a heatalater base that turned out nice, except I find the black grills that cover the heating fans to be out of place with the rest of the room. The room has an oak ceiling, oak bar, oak window trim, even oak floor grills, so I was wondering if anyone knows of a company that manufactures 10″x10′ oak grills that could cover these fans. If anyone knows a website or a phone number, your help would be greatly appreciated. Deer season begins on Friday, so the owner and his buddies will be up by then. Hope to hear from someone soon, thanks.

Why not make your own. Simple, cheap and as good looking as you are capable of.

Here is a web site:

They have an 8"x10", but they will also custom build if you have more money than time. I've never used them, so this isn't an endorsement.

Oak grill????????????????????
Man, you gotta get with the hunting theme. First kill,...... then bone out that animal and use the rib cage as the grill, nothing else.

I've done some stuff with deer and elk antlers that looked very good and appropriate, too.
Don't know about that grill. Would or could it get hot during operation? If so I would think that you might have it plated brass or copper. Maybe a verdigris finish. Can't say, without knowing what the decor looks like, that it would look any better but it is my 2 cents worth.
Have you thought about a "faux finish"? If you find someone who is good at it, no one will know the difference. I would stay away from wood grills in this application.
