I need to replace some GAF fiber cement siding. What do you call the metal strips that hold them? Not the corners but the pieces that are under each individual piece. I cant find them anywhere. I even checked the GAF website and they ont have them. Here are a few pictures

You might have to get a sheet metal shop to make them up for you.
I'm dumb
AllI see is a doorknob andthe siding without flashing in one pic
A house in the desert in another picutre,
and a house in the desert with a trailer behind it in another, with a piece of galvanized corner flashing covering hte siding joint ?
JH, look on the bottom edge of the siding pieces.
Asbestos
You may want to get that stuff tested for asbestos.
Why are you certain they are GAF? They look just like old cement shingles to me and I've never seen that bottom strip on them. If this is an old house I'd say you're going to have to have them fabricated since no one seriously deals with cement shingles anymore. I have one supplier but they don't stock much.
I have, on a few rare occasions, seen shingles like that, with the metal strip a part of the "design" of them. I never really examined them closely, however, and have no idea as to the age or manufacturer.
