Need new chuck for Bosch 1/2″ drill
This one’s about 15 years old. It appears to be an 1198VSR and it’s my trusty hammer-drill. It has been on two moon landings, fought in the first gulf war, helped dig a tunnel to China, and helped out on a quite a few of my jobs too. Problem is, the chuck is getting way sticky. Time for a new one, I think. It says:
“1/16 – 1/2 ROHM 1.5 – 13L 1/2 – 20 S2A W. Germany”
Where can a get a new one that will fit? And for that matter, how to get this one off? It does not have a screw visible down inside it, but there are flats on the shaft right where it enters the drill body.
