The previous owner has manged to paint over and bend up the hinge pins. The do not hav a flat top to them but a round ball to match the bottom. All I can find around here are flat top replacement pins. Is there an online source?

This historic schoolhouse was transformed into a stunning four-bed, three-bath home with ocean views and a modern open-concept design.

Aren't you in NYC? There are hundreds of them on the sidewalk every night. No joke! I have picked them up on the way home or whenever I walked my dog. I always have 4 - 6 on hand including hinges. Never paid for one and always of top quality with a patina to match.
Maybe it's time to do a little dumpster-diving.

OK Frankie, I have to know, why is there hinge pins on the sidewalks of New York?

Haven't you heard? The streets are paved with gold. The street lights are lit by diamonds. New hundred dollar bills grow on the trees in Central Park. Pal, you gotta get out more.Actually, there is so much renovation going on here, by DYI'ers and Pros, there is a dumpster or three in just about every neighborhood and what's not in the dumpsters is at the curb waiting to be picked up by tomorrow's garbage collection. Here, garbage is collected every other day, all year long.A keen eye can spot a number of treasures a few times a week. I have found door knobs to match hard to find knobs for quite a few jobs. Same with hinges and even windows and associated cremones. The cremones made a great Xmass present to a family member. After gifting, I found out they are original foundry pieces from the turn of the century and go for about $7K each. I had eight. Four are in my apt - HA!I could go on...F.
Great for you but I never see them. I'm in Windsor Terrace - Brooklyn
When do you need them by? I can look around if you'd like. How long is the pivot shaft? A bldg a block away is currently being gutted.F
ahem, those are used syringes, NOT hinge pins.
