We have these old thermostats that control the gas hotwater boiler/baseboard heater system.
They seem to date back to the days when the boiler used to be oil fired.
The house was built in the 1950s.
When the boiler was changed to a Burnham gas model about 10-years ago some of the old stuff was kept such as the thermostats.
These have a glass thermometer that obviously just monitors the temp and a round dial disk on top that you turn and tweak until the boiler operates to reach a certain temperature.
The system seems to be running on 24-volts.
Would like to replace with newer programmable units.
Any potential headaches ?
I see three wire, four wire, five wire, etc mentioned in newer thermostats.
Thanks for your help.
