Looking for replacement windows that are wood interior and vinyl exterior. Both my local lumberyards don’t carry these (but can get some really nice ones with contact paper that sort of looks like wood on the inside.)
I know these exist…who makes em and are they any good?

*If you mean vinyl CLAD exterior and exposed wood interior, the question "who DOESN'T make em?" - Pella, Marvin, Anderson all have a pretty similar products (I'm picking up my Marvin order of exactly this kind of window this pm). Now if you ask 10 builders which is the best product, you'll get 12 different answers....
*I'm looking for replacement windows, not new construction. I want custom sizes made to my dimensions and I want to install them as sash replacements. As far as I know (and I could be wrong), Marvin, Pella, and Andersen make new construction wooden windows in standard sizes.
*Ryan, just installed $3200 worth of replacement windows with a custom lite pattern; Marvin makes them all, and they have a bewildering array of options; flanges or not, wood interior or not, wood exterior or not, pre-primed or not and so on. I believe that Marvin, Kolbe and Kolbe, Hurd, and Weatherguard ALL make any kind of window you want (and I KNOW there's got to be a whole lot more). I know for a fact Marvin will make what you need; I've been ordering weird windows from them for years.
*Replacement windows(as in the whole thing that fits inside the old jamb) or replacement sashes...and using the old jambs with or without jamb-liners? Traco at http://www.traco.com should have you covered, and their lead time is just about two weeks. They're in Pgh, so delivery to you would probably take a few days. Jeff
*Pella will make em to size, moderate upcharge. Aluminum clad.
*Marvin will make whatever you want ... at a price, like double and up for custom. My rep told me a guy wanted a particular shade of brown for his aluminum clad and they did a special run just for him, for some ungodly fee (like $3000 setup). If you order a standard 2" increment the windows cost half as much. As far as I know, all their cladding is Al, not vinyl ... which is better, no?
