HI,
I have built a new home and shop with 7 single garage doors (not all in one place). I had a local door installer apply plywood and cedar to create a carriage house door look. The doors look great, but the only stops we have been able to locate are vinyl. We went to the effort to use “real” materials and hate the thought of compromising on this last detail. Door jambs are dark brown stained 2X10 cedar with stone exterior and the Vinyl looks cheap.
In the not to recent past, I could buy wooden stops with a vinyl flap. They now seem impossible to find.
Does anyone have a source?
Thanks,
Bob

bob,
You can make your own with materials available from Resource Conservation Technology Inc. 2633 North Calvert Street Baltimore,
MD 21218 USA tel: 410-366-1146 fax: 410-366-1202.
They should have a web site but I can't find it. Lots of different seal profiles. Call for a catalog.

As kkearney says, Resource Conservation. A huge plus is that the seals will be EPDM which will far outlast and outseal vinyl, especially if you have very cold weather. Then you can use your wood of choice.
It's truly amazing the variety of seals offered there. Every penetration here uses one, or more, of their seals.
