I’m looking for information on the pouring of a new basemnt along side an existing crawl space footer. The new basement will be at the gable end of the existing house. The house is a two story.I would like to know where I could research some info on this subject. Preparation is part of the game! John

John, I have been researching the same thing for a sunroom addition (see my question under "How do I add a sunroom to an historic stone house?) Fine Homebuilding No. 114 has a good description for tying together new concrete walls to the existing foundation. It's the article on the Montreal sunroom, Pages 84-87. Good luck, John
