I have 3 Hitachi nail guns and they are all a nice pale green color. Now they are all this cartoonish looking dark geen with black rubber acccents…
I think the person responsible for this change deserves a good kick in the nuts!
These tools now look more akin to Blackened Peckers Firestorm line then the pro grade tools they once were. I hope the quality did’nt go south.

Yeah, must be a "viral-marketing" thing, I hear that is popular. Possibly they got a good bargain on leftover transformer heads from the prop department and by japanese logic turned them into routers: http://www.hitachipowertools.com/product/files/woodworking/routers/M12V2_web.jpg_prod_lg.jpgOr perhaps it's just the new transformer "Big-Earius Lame" with the fantastic ability to spin his head at 22,000 RPMs...
Because of this garish, trendy color/decorative scheme, I have not even considered buying an Hitachi tool that has it! Yechhh!
This has been talked about before here at BT, and I totally agree. gad zeeks.....looks horrid. the big SCM with digital readout looks like something hatched from ALIEN.
you guys talking about buying tools based on how they LOOK rather then how they WORK makes ya sound like a bunch of women ;)
well ya know - gotta stay in touch with yer femanin side as you're busting into that concrete with that big rotarty hammer. View Image View Image
I'm at no disadvantage by not owning an Hitachi tool. Except, perhaps, one of their framers..........
"i think the NEW Hitachi green makes me look FAT!!!"Poter Cable gray is much more slimming....

He shoots He scores. Best comment of the thread. Ha Ha good one.
I bet ya they are designed for the "geek homeowner" who uses a tool only once a year. They don't worry about performance, it's the looks they are after.Martin
I dont like white tools after labor day
I have old and new Hitachi tools...all good.
The new Hitachi 18 ga. nailer is nice and light, well balanced, works great and has the best ergonomics of any gun I've used...don't care what it looks like.
