I have been looking for a pvc facia replacement and came across these guys on the web http://www.advancedtrimworks.com/
They have a product called RakeTrim which is identical in dimensions to my present 1×8 with 1×3 trim facias and rakes. It is all one piece and looks like it would save a lot of work. Has anyone used this product ? It appears that it is only available in the New England area, but that is not a big problem. I can get it to Maryland if it will do the job.
I have looked at Azec, and today the local yard told me they sell a similar product made by Georgia Pacific, although I can find no reference to it online. With the Azec, or GP I would have to rip the 1×3 part and thats a lot of ripping … approx 360 liniar feet. The “Rake Trim” would eliminate this step.
Any thoughts would be appreciated, I will be calling a couple of Boston Area yards on Monday to check availability.
Thanks,

Here in SE PA, when exterior trimming we used "Synboard". Pvc and it came in every width wood does in 1x and 5/4 plus 4x8 sheets. I believe Azek does as well. Try another supplier unless I'm wrong. Most good lumberyards catering to the trades will have some brand of PVC trim and even the big boxes do often now as well. Use pvc cement on the miters, watch nailing at ends(it'll chip and blow out) and when wet it's slippery as heck.
