I recently installed two new faucets in my home. The bathroom one works fine. The kitchen now has a squeal when it is turned on anything more than 1/2. Also, there is a “pounding” when it is open full or when I am switching from hot to cold. It seems like there is something wrong with the valve inside. I have tried turning the water valves down thinking the pressure was too high but this has done nothing. The faucet was new (Delta) and I was wondering if there is something I need to do before taking it back.
Thanks
Tom

Single handle or double handle?
If it's a double handle, then shut off angle stops.
Remove cartrige from the noisy side.
Look for the washer to be loose, usually a screw holding washer in place.
That being loose is a common culprit of a noisy faucet.
