I’m going to rip out my exsiting floor – oak/pine planks to get the floor level by sistering and then nailing down a subfloor.
Cost is not a factor but *green* is a consideration.
Is plywood a better substrate than the pine planks I’ll be gutting up due to the ply layers ? It’s a little more work to take out the nails and then reuse the pink planks.
I’d be curious what your advice is on this one….

How old is the subfloor you're removing? If it's old growth, it may be usable for fine woodworking projects. Or at least, for rustic furniture. You might find someone nearby over at Knots who'd want it.
