I know I read here or over at Fine Woodworking about a reliable place to send old Nicads from cordless tools to get them reconditioned. Search has not turned up any results. I have two Dewalt 14 volt batteries that need help!
Does anyone have any experience with any of these outfits or recall names.
Thanks,
Kieran

Primecell is one. I have used them several times.
Good service, but their website sucks.

A-holes. Hey every group has to have one. And I have been elected to be the one. I should make that my tagline.
Thanks Bill.
The term "reconditioned" is where you're confusing me.
To me, "reconditioning" cells is a waste of time. (That's where they jolt them with hi amp charges to somehow rejuvinate the guts. Snakeoil.)
Rebuilt is a whole 'nuther thing. That's worthwhile. They put new cells in your plastic casing. I use BatteriesPlus for that. Never had any complaints.

Mike,
Thanks for the info. Rebuilt is what I meant to indicate.

Hello Mike,
I have had good success with my porter cable drill reconditioning the batteries and little success with my makita drill. The PC is NiCad and the makita is Nimh.
