Laundromat that is.
The slightly used Washer and dryer are INSTALLED!
Whirlpool, less than 1 Yr old. 380.00 for the pair, 90 day warranty.
Of course, I had to re-floor the laundry room, with Birch ply and sticky tiles, and where the DW wanted shelves above, I opted for a KD cabinet from Lowes @94.00$.
That was a big mistake, what a POS. I mean, I AM a woodworker, I COULD have made anything desired, but I took a short cut..trying to beat the delivery schedule.
A simple wall cabinet 3 doors, 60″ long x 18″ high. MCP finish, and total junk. Parts missing, edgebanding loose, misdrilled holes..etc.
Anyway, she is a happy camper, and likes the tiles so much, I now have to do the hallway, bath, and kitchen..with the same.
At a buck 20 a sq.ft or so, I am impressed, these look like marble, and are remarkably nice.
Now I get to get all my winter duds outta the van, and wash them at home, and stow away till it gets cold again..life is better now.

Gay community huh? Good luck with that..LOLParolee # 40835
yep my last two customers--seems like they all know each other--I have 4 leads from one job--plus like I said before I have been dressing nicer, and shaving more and becoming more metropolitan, yeah boy, this road to self improvment sure takes some strange twists.
Having dealt with that crowd I will say they pay promptly, appreciate good service and will spread the word that you don't have any issues working for them.
In other words, good customers. Repeat customers with more money than average. Usually know what they want, just want it done right.

yessir you are right, They knowwhat they want or have a good idea of what the finished project should look like, what has started as a simple masonry repair job on one site has turned into three sink / cabinit replacements with all new plumbing, one bathroom addition and a refurbish,an electrical upgrade from 100amp.service to 200amp. which a electrical contr. friend well be getting in on plus all the major plumbing workis going to another guy .I went to the second "family" and handed my proposel to them "two ladies" and they read it and much to my embarassment corrected some grammerical errors, said the numbers looked good though then asked me THE QUESTION --why should we pick you to do this work, than XYZ co.-- I told them" because I'm good "& I can be trusted ,I left it with that she said " well we have heard how well you have teated our friends and we know how you treat your wife and family--surprised the crap out of me--the family part anyway. Before it was over they had handed me a check to start ,with extra money for fuel costs.
I would SO go for any gay customers, as they average per capita, the highest income of anyone as a group and they most usually have the intelligence (time and leisure -- usually no kids) and money to demand and appreciate quality. Of this is taking as average, asshats are in every group as well.

wonder if we have the same cabinet?
5 yrs ago or so ...
needed a quick cab for above the "new baby's" changing table ...
HD or Lowes ... forget ... white utility room cab ...
sounds same or similar ... white on white ... fairly cheap.
get it home ... think ... this is gonna kill the damn kid!
so ... I pop off the factory less than 1/8th back ... and dado to fit a 1/2 or 3/4 back ... can't remember now ... then ... on the inside ... add a 1/2 or 3/4 top and bottom mounting rail ...
all glued and screwed.
now ... safe to hang about where a stinking baby will be changed.
do remember ... maybe a month or so later ... seeing the shelf space empty ...
with big "item recalled" flyers stuck all over the place!
thot ... wow ... musta took out a kid or two ...
used what ever scrap I had on hand ...
made a point to show Cath "how lucky her was" ... to have me safeguarding her baby!
she didn't buy it then either ....
cab's still there ... she's still not buying ....

Sounds like the same. I wound up making new parts, adding screws....basically "made" it from the mis-packed parts and pcs.
What a joke.Parolee # 40835
I get a lot of business for single and replacement cabs. The HO doesn't like the price, I tell'em to go look at HD or Lowes, and they come back and get pretty much what they want. WOM only is good business.
Never again, am I even gonna think about a cabinet in a box, from a big box, cuz it really is only a box. LOLParolee # 40835
Hindsight is 20/20. Next time, buy the doors from HD, and build the box to fit.
BTW, National Geographic, May issue. "Dorset Naga" pepper, 1,000,000 SHU. Staff tried to fry some, and it ran them outta the room...
I didn't realize you guys were doing the laundromat thing. Wow. It's a whole better world now.
I've got one of those cabinets above my washer and dryer. I must have gotten a different kind. It's pretty stout.

Well, at first, she WANTED to...got to do all at once, once a week. Got to hang out and gab with the owner, get gr5oceies etc.
Then suddenly, it became a priority level 1 that she has facilities at home..was gonna convert the up stairs bathroom ( it's pretty big) and get front loaders, but it would have shook the house to bits I fear.
So, I remodeled the existing laundry room that had flooded when the house was vacant for 6 mos. before I bought it.
It still ain't complete with paint and all, but it will shut her up for now.Parolee # 40835
That last line is the most critical of all. LOL
Travelling on the road for years I grew very use to doing laundry in laundromats they are all the same everywhere. Same people different accents in every one of them.

about ten years ago, living in an apartment by the local university, I decided to do laundry about 11 at night. walk in and their this gothic looking girl was watching the dryer. her boyfriend was in the dryer taking a ride. so being the good Samaritan that I am, I added two buck in quarters to that dryer and walk out.Hey if you stupid enough to ride the wild pony, I'm stupid enough to help you..“Ilsa, I’m no good at being noble, but it doesn’t take much to see that the problems of three little people don’t amount to a hill of beans in this crazy world”.
