I recently moved into the second floor of a three story apartment. When the person above me walks around, I hear a loud “snapping” noise, I’d say, every other step. Seems to mostly occur in larger rooms (long joist span?). It doesn’t sound like squeaky floors. Could it be the drywall not properly affixed to the joist underside? Any ideas anyone? if you need more info, just ask please! (I have no faith in maintenance, just to answer that question ahead of time, based on previous experience!)
Thanks
