Has anybody come across a semiglossinterior (white) paint that resists yellowing. I’ve always used oil based trim paint on my jobs instead of latex because of the superior finish in both looks and durability. It seems the product formulations must have changed over the last few years as any white paints ( ee.utch boy, BeBenjaminoMoreherwin WilWilliamrn yellow withwithinle of years. Any help is much appreciated.

I agree with you on the advantages of alkyd vs. latex, but the yellowing is a problem. Are you using Penetrol or similar additives? We found that that seems to accelerate the yellowing. We've had good luck with a polyurethane enamel from one of our regional mfg. It only comes in gloss, so we have them add some flatting paste. The big disadvantage is the short drying time. If you can brush this stuff on fast enough that it's not "ropy", my hat's off to you. We crank up the HVLPs when it's time to use this stuff.
