anyone here know of any place that sells ‘norlund’ axes? the old timer i’m working with still uses his regularly for framing and i know he’d love to get his hands on another. i’ve done a search but all i can find is a few on ebay. i had thought that Norlund axes were no longer being made but have heard rumours that there is an outfit in the USA producing them now. any help/hints/rumours would be appreciated

I'm unfamiliar with Norlund, but you might want to look at Gransfors Bruks. They are hand-made in Sweden and make a nice carpenter's axe. They only have seven smiths and every axe bears the initials of the creator. You can find them at Lee Valley(.com).
Is Norlund the company that made axes for the HBC some years ago? What are you framing that needs an axe?
