I know finding a deal at northern tool is not the norm… but
since they have a super store a few miles from me arcoss the street from my office building… i stop in sometimes…
this morning i needed an inner tube for my kids gokart… and harbor freight was another mile down the road…
so i pop in to NT dickies carpenter pants… $12.99 got 2pr
the tube i needed was on the discount rack… $3.20
all the Irwin stuff was on clearance… all sizes 2″ to 4″ blue bimetal holes saws $5, 12″ 80 tooth carbide blades $11… all kinds of Ideal connectors reg $3.58 for 85cents…
so my $3.20 tube cost me $118.00 but i have a bunch of new hole saw blades
first time i ever felt like i got a deal there…

man, that was good.

went and looked... it's a 100 tooth on the 12" 80 tooth i think on the 10" it was the same price.... pretty sure that is the best 12" blade i've ever owned....
i know i'n not the only one here who haunts the discount areas

Curious, bought a pair of those blades on sale at Lowes, it was buy one get a free 40 tooth ( I think, it's been awhile) any way, the dang blade wasn't flat, it cut like a dado blade. I took it back, but kept the free one. They hemmed and hawed, but finally gave me a credit.
A few weeks later I tried the other blade, same problem.
I wonder if NT is fixin to stop carrying them or what, Lowes disc. them. Irwin was usually good stuff, but the blades? Not so much.Spheramid Enterprises Architectural Woodworks

i'll have to try it... all the Irwin stuff was on clearance like they were drop'n the line maybe... i needed some new holesaw blades and most of my kill the blade stuff is over for awhile ... and @ $5 a pop... not a big deal... i only have one 12" saw that i use... a dewalt compound radial set up with long outfeeds and my crown set up... it's working so well i hate to screw with it... i will try the 10" blades... i did buy a 8.25 60t blade at HF that i'm pretty pleased with for 8.99 i got it as a trash blade to cut alum with but it has worked so well i have yet to cut alum with it...
