Got this from a friend. . .hope it’s not a hoax…if so refile.. .
WARNING – NEW VIRUS ANNOUNCED BY IBM
PASS THIS ON TO ANYONE YOU HAVE AN E-MAIL ADDRESS FOR.
If you receive an e-mail titled “Lets watch TV” DO NOT OPEN IT. It will
erase everything on your hard drive. This information was announced
yesterday morning from IBM. AOL states that “KALI” is a very dangerous
virus, much worse than “Melissa”, and there is NO remedy for it at this
time.
Some very sick individual has succeeded in using the reformat function
from Norton Utilities causing it to completely erase all documents on the hard drive.
It has been designed to work with Netscape Navigator and Microsoft
Internet Explorer. It destroys Macintosh and IBM compatible computers. This is a new, very malicious virus and not many people
know about it.
Pass this warning along to EVERYONE in your address book and please share
it with all your on-line friends ASAP so that this threat may be
stopped.
Please practice cautionary measures and tell anyone that may have access
to your computer.
Forward this warning to everyone that might access the Internet.

Nope - It's a hoax. You can read about it at:
TV Hoax
There is a lot of good info on viruses at:
Computer Virus Myths Homepage
And be suspicious of anything that says: "This is not a hoax". If they have to tell you that, it almost certainly is.
*YeahI was suspicious of the rhetoric. . . good links. .. thanx-pm
*Also a hoax tipoff: "forward to everyone."
*"Forward to everyone" is kinda like a virus in itself. In all the latest rounds of virus news, from Melissa on, trouble has not been damage caused by viruses. (Although still a REAL consideration, especially with NewLove.) The individual users have been only slightly affected. The real problem is corporate email servers going down from choking on volume. So, if everyone really did forward these emails, it would have about the same effect.Sean
