Anyone used this before? Considering using it under my tiled bathroom floor, its a mat with electric heat wires that is embedded between the subfloor and tile. Are there other manufacturers out there with similar products?

I did a large bathroom last year with nuheat. You need an electrician to check it before during and after installation Do not leave more than an inch of space between the mats or you will have a cold spot.Make sure you don't cut the mat by accident when tiling(be careful with that trowel). If doing over a crawl space insulate with foil backed foam so heat is reflected back up. Other than these little things this is a pretty nice touch and I like the system better than the water type heated floors.

I MAY DISAGREE WITH WHAT YOUR SAYING BUT I WILL DEFEND TO THE DEATH YOUR RIGHT TO SAY IT.
Oh, I've been lurking a long long time and now I've found a reason to respond!
I have had Nu-heat for a year and absolutly NO complaints.I found it was very easy to install once I got past the concept of "what if I do it wrong ït's stuck below the tile!!
Yep, well worth it on cold mornings.
Another is called Warmly Yours. It comes with an alarm you hook up while tiling so if you cut a wire you know immediately. Easy install, good directions, and if you e-mail them a floor plan they do the design work.
Smile. It could be worse. You could be me working for you.
