Was checking to verify that a furace was orificed for high-elevation. The factory gauges by numerical drill bit. #40 up to 4000′, 2.5mm for 4000′-8000′ (this size is an exception,) and #44 for 8000′-12000′. This got me wondering what the origin and basis is for this numbered sizing. Anyone know?
Also, it’s time to put new rubber on the 1 ton (4×4). Anybody come across a tire lately (internet or otherwise) that’s noteworthy pricewise and performance/durability? Mud and Snow is what I need, as the thing is too bloody long to ever see the woods. Currently, I’m running Dunlop Radial Rover AT’s and might just replace them.
