I have a new faucet to install and the included water lines have o rings at the ends instead of the regular female coupler. Included is a photo. Since one is too short, do I just get a 3/8 union and add another hose?

I've never seen a faucet that came with the supply line included.
Is the pictured end supposed to attach to the faucet? Or to the shutoff valve.
What does the other end look like?
What brand of faucet is this?

I will check the brand. The pictured end goes into the faucet. The other end is standard 3/8 female connector. The brand is Lenfex. Some Euro dudes.

"The other end is standard 3/8 female connector."Hmmm. I would simple measure how much more length I needed and take the hose to the hardware store to dig up whatever would work to extend it.In theory you shouldn't need to take the hose with you, but I like to play it safe.

Yeah, that is one lesson I have to relearn every now and then. Those who can make you believe in absurdities can make you commit atrocities- Voltaire
If it's a "Euro" dude then my bet it's "METRIC" and both diameter and thread size are not going to fit unless you get an adapter.

It appears that end has a machine thread and not a tappered pipe thread.
Thus the O-ring is the seal and not the threads/sealant.
I have seen some other faucets that come with detachable feed lines. Usually the connections from them to the faucet is propritory.
Go to the hardware store, but a good chance that you will need to keep them and put an extension on the other end.
.
A-holes. Hey every group has to have one. And I have been elected to be the one. I should make that my tagline.

"That was my thought. Damn."That was my thought also. I can't believe it will be that hard to fill the gap between the 3/8" female and the 3/8" male ends. But I've been wrong before...still, it's gotta be a heckofa lot easier than trying to deal with the o ring end.Rich BeckmanThis signature line intentionally left blank.
I've installed those before. If the line is too short just get a double male coupling and a short supply line hook it up and go home.
The o-ring end goes to the faucet. Other end should be 3/8 OD compression size.
Your local big box carries 12" flexible hoses with male and female 3/8" OD compression sized ends to use as an extension.
Get two of those and you are done.
Its actually metric. Just got back from the hardware store. The 3/8 female is ok, the male end is metric. Just got 3/8 union and another short line to loop in. Should work ok until the first line poops out. Those who can make you believe in absurdities can make you commit atrocities- Voltaire
