Is the Senco and Hitachi pnuematic oil the same. I have both and was wondering if it would hurt to use the Senco oil in the Hitachi framing nailer?

I use Bostitch oil in my Paslode, Max, Hitachi guns with no problems.

Just make sure its for nailers and not compressor oil. I just use whatever the supply has on hand. It's not like senco, bostitch, hitachi or anyone else is making the oil, they almost certainly contract it out and put it in their bottle. I would not be surprised if most of the oils are made by one or two companies.
Also, not standard air tool iol, like stuff used for air ratchets and such. And Never 10 in 1
No 3 in one either. Actually, I don't use 3 in one on anything that can gum up because 3 in one will turn to glue eventually. But it smells good. I hear it's vegetable oil based.
really, At my local tool house they told there's no difference in the oils.
Is there? View Image View Image
There is a big difference between nail gun oil and WD40 or 3in1 etc. (the latter turn O rings to paste) but between one brand of nail gun oil and another, not so much.------------------

Sorry. Actually I was reffering to the oil designated for air tools such as impact wrench etc...vs nail guns.
using WD40 or 3in1 will wreck guns. I know because my brother tried it. View Image View Image
That's exactly what I was told by my supply house...they sell/service nothing but fasteners, nailers and compressors.
Same oil in the crankcase as in the nailer.
Gotta remember not to oil the oilless nailers.
I don't know about the stuff thats in the crank case. I just know they sell oil designated for air wrenches, impacts etc.... which is the same stuff. The differece is that it's manufatcued by an automotive company. so they dont advertise use for nail guns, because people don't use stick nailers on their cars - Usually :P View Image View Image
No, it will not. I run the same combo.
Thanks that is what I was looking for.
