Listeners write in about haunted pipes and building-science tomes, and they ask questions about roof venting and roof leaks.

If you can guess the species ( rosewood comes to mind) you can guess the location and possibly the era.
But there are tons of reproductions floating around, and many things from Africa, Indonesia, Viet Nam and other places are still hand carved. I have a pair of doors , 3/0x6/6 that are one slab of mahagony in about a 5" wide stile and rail. All hand whittled and shipped over from Africa. Found em in an antique shop and he had about 20 shipped over.Spheramid Enterprises Architectural Woodworks
