I own a turn of the century church which is being remodeled to living quarters. In the process we have removed a lot of very good condition vertical grain old growth douglas fir – tounge and groove as well as Wain-scot and I am not sure how to go about selling this to someone who can use/appreciate this wood. I surely dont think burning it is the best way to dispose of it. I am located in SW Washington and would appreciate any thoughts or direction on this. Thanks

There is a company in Portland (Varnell?) which takes apart old houses and reclaims the wood. There is also Rejuvenation which has some older salvage wood in the store, and they do buy from people.
Right here in breaktime, find the Reverend Jim Blodgett, of the Church of the clear firs. he worships the trinity of the Father Fir, the Cedar son, andf the Holy Oak. He also lives on your side of the continent so he might be able to officiate at the ressurection of this fine wood.

I think there is also a company called "The Re-build it center" in portland that recycles any old building material. Also I would be interested if you have 1x3 or larger that could be used for trim as we are redoing our turn of the century house and want to put in new [old] trim. We live in Northwest Oregon. E-mail back if interested.
Kelly,
On the dimensions you are looking for are they feet or inches??? Can you retype that as HxWxL for me so I can better understand. The wood is beautiful and I can send pics if you'd like to give me your email. emy
