While working on an old house the customer asked me to dispose of a few old cans of paint, turned out to be 65 cans, mainly 1 gal. Some oil, most latex based. What do i do with them? Calls to local trash sites and recyclers has left me stuck. Any ideas?

you might call a painting contractor and seek his advice. In Toledo, the county collects old pt. once a yr.
*If any of it is still good, I know a painter who put's it on the curb with a free paint sign, he says it's usually gone in a few hours. You can also "dry the paint out" so it can be safely discarded, 65 gals. would take a lot of sand, so the third option is to stick it in the basemnt or garage until you can unload it on someone else :) , or until the city does the yearly round-up of hazardous materials.
*Bio-Wash makes a product that you add to paint and it solidifies it either in the can or as a spill on the floor. Actually it does not solidify but dries into granules for cleanup. This is the same company that makes the all organic strippers and deck stains and oils. You may have seen their orange/citrus stripper used on This Old House.Pete DraganicI have samples of this and can order direct through them.
