Hi,
Anyone have links for rough lumber pricing? I recognize there will be regional differences and differences arising from local retailer competition, but I’d like to be able to do some rough comparitive pricing. My current interest is 1×8 shiplap roofdeck vs. plywood vs. OSB, and something on-line would help me price these alternatives before I even call my local yard.

To get you ballpark you can search Lowes and Home Depot in your area online for the osb and plywood prices.
I had checked Lowes. It's the 1x8 shiplap that I can't find a price for.
shiplap???
are you sure yur???
would you rather have tongue and groove???

Well, yeah. That would be a little stronger. But no bevel, or whatever they call that thing that looks like a V when you're done. Polyiso roof insulation is going to be on the outside of this roofdeck, so will have open rafters and I'm thinking solid wood rather than plywood so as to get a nice look.
square shouldered T&G can be had...
make yur self if you can...
shiplap will curl on the edges...
what is the spacing on the rafters???

Yeah, I guess it will. This was a late decision - to increase the polyiso thickness a bit on the outside (from 2" to 3 1/2") and then eliminate the ceiling and fiberglass insulation. Though I may actually put those up at some point. Depends how much the upstairs gets used and how cold it is. If I'd planned on keeping the ceiling open from the start, I suppose I could have done 3x10 rafters on 24" centers (instead of 2x12 on 16"). That would have looked nice. But the rafters are up, so too late.
3/4 T&G is all ya need....
