Thanks to all of you for your answers to my previous window questions. They have helped us narrow down our choices. Has anyone had any experience with Norco windows? The retailer we are dealing with sells just about anything we want: Anderson, Marvin, etc. but is pushing hard for Norco. He claims they are as good as any of the higher priced windows. Thanks again for any help you can give.

Spray foam is a great invention, but it's not always necessary.

Linda, I am not a big fan of anderson. I think they are overpriced due to their overmarketing.
Marvin is a much nicer window and deserving of it's beefier price.
I have installed a Norco window many years ago in the 80's. Yes they were a basic wood window construction, and will do a nice job, as long as they are installed properly, and maintained (exterior paint, caulk etc.)
Check the U and R values to determine superiority. You will find that most windows fall into a rather narrow range. You have to decide if the extra value is worth the upfront costs.
