looking for input on a project i have been considering for a while. I am wanting to open the ceiling in my hipped roof house that is over my living/dining room. i like the look of the exposed framing, but am not sure it can be done in a manner that it can be properly insulated.I am very aware of the importance of the existing framing not be cut or altered in any way. but is there a way to add framing to it and get the look i am after and insulate it properly?
