   I'm looking for opinions on resurfacing the old cracked and spalted concrete walkway on our house, c.1910. I'm considering a concrete/epoxy system from a contractor using a CTI brand material. It is trowled on with multi-colors or layered effects to imitate stone, brick, etc. after pressure cleaning the old concrete but is only about 1/8 inch thick. The contrator made a good case for its durability and the samples I've seen look good. It comes with a 10 year guarantee and he's been in the business for some time so I can check on older work. Anyone out there with experience on this or similar material system?

   Recently saw a system the same or similar. It was explained to me to be the "Dryvit" coating over concrete. It was in the shop of a ceiling/drywall contractor. Saw all the patterns in a few colors. Looked good and was rec. plenty of abuse. If it's the same kinda stuff, then it might be an Idea. However, on spalling concrete, I'd be a little wary. Are you in a freeze thaw area?

   Be carefull trying to top off a pc. of crap. Might get another opinion. Best of luck
