16 or 20 oz cordless, variable speed, reversible nail setter. Mine's an Estwing.
The paslode gas operated guns don't require a hose or compressor which reduces the equipment a little. But a compressor is a very handy thing to have.
Some nail guns are magnesium, which is noticibily lighter than the regular models. But they're the same size. You must use a gun that shoots framing nails of some sort. You cannot use a 15 or 16 ga finish nailer.
I'm sorry, I thought you wanted it done the right way.
These are the the two best (and only) choices for light framing without getting into a full size framing nailer and compressor set up.

For occasional use I'd recommend either you go the Paslode route or look at the compressor/framing gun combo deals offered by many manufacturs including Porter-Cable, Hitachi (my first choice), and Bostitch.
I really have to stress that you consider one of the combo packages. Once you start doing some "light framing" around the house, you're gonna want to finish it up. For another $100 or so down the road you can add a finish nailer or a siding nailer or a roofing nailer or a palm nailer.... etc, etc, etc. Compressors are just awesome to have around anyway... you'll find a million ways to use it from filling tires, detailing your car, blowing grime out of tight places, etc.
