Does anyone here build or perhaps even specialize in outdoor kitchens, outdoor “living rooms”, solariums, etc. ? I’ve read a lot about them recently and they seem to be a hot selling point for higher-end homes.
What resources are there for designs and materials?

We did tons of outdoor kitchens, BBQ's, fireplaces, etc., in Las Vegas. The best place to start for information is at the companies that sell the BBQ units. For basic stuff, we used BBQ's Galore- for pricier installs, we upgraded to DCS, Lynx, or Viking. All of them have websites with tons of photos and ideas.

Thanks, Bob. Did you ever do anything so that the plumbing and whatnot could be winterized easily? I'm in a place where freezes can occur Nov. to April.DCS Inc.

You just need to put shutoff valves with drains in a climatized area to isolate the water supply, and put some antifreeze in the traps on any sinks. Other than that, it shouldn't be a big deal.
