I have an outswing door to install. Looks to me as if the manufacturer simply hung the door on the outside jamb. The threshold is level under the door and then pitches back inside!
Can anyone post a picture of a properly working outside threshold? I’m not even sure what to ask these guys for.
The door will be well-protected from weather by a porch roof.

nedge,
Did you get all the data you needed?
Peace out.
Thanks for checking back. That picture you posted is much more sensible than the threshold used for my door. Instead of the usual adjustable strip, the weatherstriping buts against an angled metal threshold that pitches down and in.I do think it's an outswing threshold now, but a dumb design. I plan to set the door a little low and make my own interior threshold to cover theirs up. I think it'll work.
