Anybody still got a picture or can remember the name of the thread of the overloaded (understatement) VW that had all of the plywood on the roof?

Is that Johnny under there with his 55 sheets of OSB?
*Whaddaya talkin bout here, those tie downs will last another two loads and they was free at the checkout..ah..dumpster.
*I have not seen that picture before. That's the funniest thing I have seen in weeks. I needed the laugh.
*This guy is, unquestionably, stupid. But I have to stand up here for those few of us that do construction in compact cars. I get hassled about not having a truck all the time. But I've hauled a full-sized fridge AND two bathrooms of tile for 160 miles in my Toyota Corolla. Lots of pipe and plywood etc. For big loads, I use the lumberyard's free delivery or, about twice a year, I rent a truck. Does anyone's F-250 get 38 mpg? Or go 280,000 trouble-free miles? (Almost trouble-free, I've had two $100 repairs to do.) It's amazing what a Yakima rack and careful loading can do. Your mileage may differ. *(The only) unarmed, truckless guy in Alaska - David You drive with you feet too????????How do ya hold a hammer?Smiles
*Ah, David, I knew you were a smart man. My Toyota Corolla has 310,000 on it. Mileage in Canada may appear smaller than it is. Roughly that's 186,000 miles. However, I do have a major repair. rear end shocks need to be replaced. Other than that though, it's been trouble free.
*Piffin: No .458, no .44, no .357, not even a .22. I do support the right to bear arms. I think every brown, black, and polar bear should have four limbs.Martagon: Congratulations! You have now driven one light-second in your Corolla. I just passed 1.5 light seconds so don't give up on it yet. I held a little celebration at 238,000 miles (the distance from earth to moon) -David
*Heh.Once, I loaded all the PT material for a 10' x 14' deck into the back of an old Chevette and ACTUALLY MADE IT HOME!
*The little jetta that thinks it's a F-350 can be found athttp://www.geocities.com/copper6500/homedepot.htmlCheers
