How well do paint brush extenders work? What I mean do they save time compared to using a ladder? Are they cost effective?

With a good brush and a steady hand, my painter cut the walls to the cathedral ceiling, standing on the upper hall gallery, reaching over the stairway with an eight foot extension pole. Perfect lines.
I watched and was amazed.
You bet they are worthwhile!
Ive done it but would rather have a ladder . Its just not natural.
Then Stinger sees his painter do it , so different strokes for different folks.
I use a paint brush , a gun , finishing knife in both hands and thats called odd.
